When you have RackBrutes side-by-side, you start looking at the empty space as an opportunity to free up some HP in the rack, and give those little passive buggers an island vacation!
That's exactly what this is designed to do!
It's made for 6U RackBrutes and 3U RackBrutes that use our RB+3 brackets.
These fit between the two racks, resting on the shapes on both sides for support. It doesn't attach, it rests, making it easy to setup and remove for travel. These were created to utilize extra space for things you'll always need, utilities, passive mults, etc... More of your set and forget, mount on and count on type modules. These are not for things you'd replace often.
Originally designed for passive gear, the rear-facing crossbeams have holes to mount any additional units, including a power supply, making this a perfect place for 16HP of active goodness!
Speaking of which...These holes are not threaded. They'll hold standard M3 screws pretty well, and with repeated use, might become less grippy. You can always use longer screws and metal nuts to make attachment more permanent.
Optional Accessories: 16HP CatHead Utility Blank (Firm) for keeping the back of the Between tidy and with flair, and 16HP Cable Management Blank. We recommend using longer screws with the 16HP Cable Management Utility Blank, and adding metal nuts to secure for heavier cable loads. There will be extra space to one or both sides of the Crossbeam, as the Crossbeams are closer to 18HP, to allow for modules that have holes in strange placement. These Utility Panels can be used without the Between as well!

Assembly: 2 Side Panels (marked L/R) and 4 Crossbeams.
The 4 Crossbeams will slide into the cutouts on the Side Panels, connecting the two Panels.
Make sure to use the 1 Crossbeam with shorter outside fins at the front/bottom location.
Once assembled, it's recommended that these stay assembled. These will be difficult to dissemble, and you'd risk breaking them by doing that. The tolerances are extremely tight.
